Launch of ARISE Africa Network

The private sector is a vital partner in building resilient societies and achieving the goals of the Sendai Framework. Given its significant role in economic growth and development, and the substantial investments required for climate adaptation, the private sector must be actively engaged in DRR initiatives.

To facilitate this engagement, UNDRR established ARISE, the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies. ARISE aims to create risk-resilient societies by empowering the private sector to collaborate with the public sector and other stakeholders.

ARISE Africa, a regional network within ARISE, invites private sector companies, business associations, government agencies, and development partners to join forces and contribute to building a more resilient continent. By working together, we can leverage the power of the private sector to create a sustainable and disaster-resilient future for Africa. Launching the ARISE Africa Network to serve as a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
