High-Level Event on DRR in African Landlocked Developing Countries

This High-Level Event on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in African Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) will address the unique challenges African LLDCs face in disaster risk reduction. Featuring ministers and high-level representatives from LLDCs, the session will focus on resilience building, regional cooperation, and inclusive strategies that leave no one behind. Discussions will focus on the role of DRR actors to ensure the implementation of the Gaborone Programme of Action for Landlocked Developing Countries at national level contributes to building resilience and reducing risk in African LLDCs. Recommendations will feed into the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Gaborone, Botswana, aligning DRR priorities with the Gaborone Programme of Action and the Sendai Framework.
